A Narnian Wedding Theme

No matter the season or colour preference, indoors or outdoors, personality or budget, you can have the perfect Narnian theme for your wedding.

If you are not acquainted with anything Narnian, you should be.  Children’s classic The Chronicles of Narnia by the late, great C.S. Lewis is a fantastical source of inspiration for your wedding theme.  There are seven books which make up the entire series and they are as follows:

Publication Order:

  1. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
  2. Prince Caspian
  3. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
  4. The Silver Chair
  5. The Horse and His Boy
  6. The Magician’s Nephew
  7. The Last Battle

Chronological Order:

  1. The Magician’s Nephew
  2. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
  3. The Horse and His Boy
  4. Prince Caspian
  5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
  6. The Silver Chair
  7. The Last Battle

I’ve created four fantastic theme boards for you to be inspired by.  Enjoy!

A Pink Woodland Narnian Theme

“She looked at a silver birch: it would have a soft, showery voice and would look like a slender girl, with hair blown all about her face and fond of dancing. She looked at the oak: he would be a wizened, but hearty, old man with a frizzled beard and warts on his fact and hands, with hair growing out of the warts. She looked at the beech under which she was standing. Ah! –she would be the best of all. She would be a gracious goddess, smooth and stately, the Lady of the Wood,” (Of LucyPrince Caspian).

A Multi-Colour Woodland Narnian Theme

“My own plans are made.  While I can, I sail east in the Dawn Treader.  When she fails me, I paddle east in my coracle.  When she sinks, I shall swim east with my four paws.  And when I can swim no longer, if I have not reached Aslan’s country, or shot over the edge of the world into some vast cataract, I shall sink with my nose to the sunrise,” (Reepicheep, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader).

A Red Fall Narnian Theme

“Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king or queen of Narnia.  May your wisdom grace us until the stars rain down from the heavens,” (AslanThe Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe).

A Blue Winter Narnian Theme

Said of the White Witch, Jadis: “She’s the one who makes it always winter.  Always winter but never Christmas,” (The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe).
