When one thinks of royal weddings, they think of Princess Grace (Monaco), Princess Di (Great Britain), Princess Catherine a.k.a “Kate” (Great Britain), and even Princess (and Olympian) Charlene (Monaco). (It looks as if these FAB weddings run in the family don’t they?? But now you can add Countess Stephanie de Lannoy’s wedding to Crown Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg to your list of royal nuptial fabulosities! The words, “the bride wore Elie Saab” are really all one needs to hear right?! Right!
Wed on Friday, October 19th (2012) at Our Lady of Luxembourg Cathedral. Clad in a 3/4 length sleeve, A-line gown with, not one but TWO trains–one, 8 ft., extending from her train, and the other, 15 ft. extending, from her waist!
Her family heirloom tiara set in platinum was designed by Brussels’ jeweler, Altenloh, and were paired perfectly to her pearl-diamond earrings. She also wore a ring from her mother who, unfortunately, passed just this August.
House Lachaume, a Parisian florist, designed her cascade orchid bouquet. Bouzouk did the countess’ make-up and Tom Marcineau of Paris’ House of Carita styled her hair.
I must say that the countess’ gown and veil, the fine, silver, cob-webby elegance of it, remind me of the gown Drew Barrymore donned in Ever After for the prince’s masked ball… ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!
What do you all think of Countess-now Princess–Stephanie’s royal wedding look??
