We at DA Weddings wholeheartedly welcome guest blog submissions! We just have a few guidelines for you to follow to make sure that all goes smoothly for all parties involved.
A Place for “All Things Wedding”
DA Weddings is a place for “all things weddings”. If you would like to contribute to our blog, then please first take a moment and scan through the posts for a true feel and style of the blog. Also, peer at us on Facebook and Pinterest for a more visual introduction.
What We are Looking For
At DA Weddings, our focus is in four specific areas:
- Engagement Stories
- Vow Renewals
- Wedding Coordinator Advice
Also, we only feature/promote couples involving one bride and one groom. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
We also accept guest posts about all cultures, traditions, ethnicities, etc. Many of our vendor partners are from beyond the U.S. so we welcome guest bloggers and guest blog topics from around the world.
Please keep your posts around 300 to 500 words or so accompanied by at least two pictures and a biographical excerpt of you and your company. Also, we presume that all photographs used in the posts are used with the permission of the photographer and or the couple featured in the photographs.
For engagement stories, although they are not our main focus, we do accept stories on engagement photography sessions.
About Weddings & Vow Renewals
This is our main focus at DA Weddings. Some ideas for guest posts are:
- Wedding Themes
- Bridal/Bridal Party Attire
- Pre/Post-Wedding Celebrations (engagement parties, bridal showers, bridesmaid luncheons, rehearsal dinners, bachelor/bachelorette parties—clean ideas only please—morning after brunch, etc.)
- Destination Wedding/Honeymoon Venues & Locations
- Various Wedding Vendors
- Wedding Traditions/History
- Gift Registry Ideas
- Wedding Favour Ideas
- Wedding Stationary (save-the-dates, invitations, ceremony programs, reception menus, place cards, thank you cards, etc.)
- How to Cope with Stress/Anxiety
- Wedding News Stories
Basically whatever equals wedding, you can write about. You may also want to glance at our blog categories as well as past blogs for further reference. If you’re not sure on what to write about or just have questions, please feel free to email Desiree at firstname.lastname@example.org.
About DIY Weddings & Projects
We love DIY projects at DA Weddings and you are more than welcome to submit posts on them. We simply ask that if you did not personally create the idea yourself, that you properly accredit (list creator; links articles/websites/blogs) the creator of the idea. We love sharing, not stealing.
Please also be sure to document every single step of the DIY process with pictures and or feel free submit an accompanying video of the process as well.
About Wedding Coordinator Advice
As much as we love catering to our faithful bride [and groom]-to-be readership, we want to share our wedding planners as well as vendors a little love as well. So if you’ve got some advice you want to share with our readers or tips to help overcome particular planning/designing challenges, then please, share them with us! This may also serve to help our bold brides who insist on planning their wedding themselves.
About Advertising in our Wedding Vendor Index
Currently, we do not yet charge for listings in our Wedding Vendor Index, so now would be an excellent time to inquire about a listing. If you would like to be featured, please email Desiree at email@example.com the following that applies:
- Personal Name
- Company Title
- Company Name (Hyperlinked with Company URL)
- Street Address
- City, State, Zip, Country
- Email Address
- Facebook URL
- Phone Number
Please note that we accept international listings as well. Also, if your listing is approved before we initiate a vendor listing fee, then you will not have to pay the fee in the future unless you choose to be removed from the listing and return after the fee is implemented.
