  3. Howdy! I know this is kind of off-topic however I needed to ask.
Does operating a well-established blog such as yours require a massive
amount work? I am completely new to operating a blog however I do
write in my diary every day. I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my experience and feelings online. Please let me know if you have any recommendations or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!

    • Hello and thanks for reading! I won’t lie to you and tell you that maintaining a blog does not take a fair amount of valuable time. For this particular blog (and http://www.daluxury.wordspress.com), the majority of my blogging time is spent researching the inspirations and themes I want to share with my readers and or compiling the theme boards I utilize so frequently. It actually doesn’t–usually–take me that long to type up and post the blogs. For my other, wordier blogs http://www.dainspires.wordpress.com and http://www.desireemmondesir.wordpress.com, it does take a lot more time per post–we’re talking around 1,000+ words. However, writing/blogging time length is relative. I probably write faster than most because that’s what I do for a living, I run my own virtual writing and editing company, freelance for online magazines, and blog. But sometimes, it depends on my mood or the topic I’m blogging about. Sometimes, I can whip up a piece in an hour, other times, it takes a bit longer. But the thing to note is that it takes a lot more time AT FIRST when you’re trying to establish an internet presence. You find that it takes less steam after this has taken place.

When I first started DA Weddings, I blogged twice a day, 7 days a week for a month. Then I did one post a day which turned into, no more week-end posts, and now I’m only blogging 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Tues) and once on the week-ends if I feel like it. My other blogs are typically just once a month. Whatever you decided, you just have to be consistent in your posting in order to gain consistent readers, followers, and subscribers. Also, utilize all of your social media outlets to promote your blog.

If you are uncomfortable or unable to blog consistently, consider hiring someone such as me who offers blogging as a third party for clients’ companies and ventures or even an English/Writing/PR Ad/Marketing/Business college student to blog for you as an intern in exchange for class credit.

I hope this helps! I know that was a lot, but please feel free to email me at desiree@desiredassistance.com if you have anymore questions.

      Happy Blogging!

      Desiree, xx
