Today’s post was completely and utterly inspired by wedding planner extraordinaire, Preston Bailey. He did a blog post featuring naked wedding cakes, and I wanted to share the increasing trend with you all.
Naked Cakes are completely exposed on the outside; no frosting, no fondant designs, just lovely exposed layers. It’s a wonderful trend perfect for the modern glitzy to the down-home receptions.
You can drizzle glaze on them or speckle them with powdered sugar. You can also make it an opportunity to have fun with the layers and filling.
Take a glance at some of these cakes and you’re sure to be converted!
